National Talent Hunt Program

The IBA Ihsan Trust National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) is fully funded program jointly financed by IHSAN TRUST & IBA Karachi which selects, grooms, and prepares talented students from the less privileged areas of Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir for comprehensive IBA admission process to enter into the BBA/BS Programs. This Two Months orientation program will be based on merit cum need consideration. It will enhance students' knowledge of English Grammar & Composition, Mathematics and Presentation and Communication Skills and emphasize on personal development & grooming.

OGDCL Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Talent Hunt Program

The IBA OGDCL KPK Talent Hunt Program (KPKTHP) is a fully funded program financed by OGDCL Pakistan. These institutions jointly endeavour to select, groom, and prepare talented students from the less privileged areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, for a comprehensive IBA admission process. The main aim of this is to enable the most qualified of these students to gain admission into the BBA/BS Programs. This two-month orientation program will be based on merit-cum-need consideration. It will enhance students' knowledge of English Grammar & Composition, Mathematics and Presentation and Communication Skills and emphasize personal development & grooming.

OGDCL Balochistan Talent Hunt Program

The OGDCL Balochistan Talent Hunt Program (BTHP) is a fully funded program financed by OGDCL Pakistan. These institutions jointly endeavour to select, groom, and prepare talented students from the less privileged areas of Balochistan, for a comprehensive IBA admission process. The main aim of this program is to enable the most qualified of these students to gain admission into the BBA/BS Programs. This two-month orientation program will be based on merit-cum-need consideration. It will enhance students' knowledge of English Grammar & Composition, Mathematics and Presentation and Communication Skills and emphasize personal development & grooming. BTHP provides comprehensive training for selection into BBA/BS Programs at IBA and awarded financial support to enable qualified students to complete their degrees. Degree obtained from IBA opens the doors to managerial positions in the leading business houses and multinational companies, education at IBA can become a powerful income equalizing force and upward mobility force.

Pakistan has no shortage of talented youth, but in several instances, lack of resources prevents them from realizing their potential. This is a particularly problematic when it comes to accessing higher education. The Government of Pakistan acknowledges these constraints, and has tasked the Higher Education Commission with facilitating needy and deserving students through Need Based Scholarships. This year, over 10,000 scholarships have been announced for financially disadvantaged　students all over Pakistan including 61 public sector universities of Pakistan (list attached). It aims to elevate the socio-economic status of the students by enabling their access to modern education and career opportunities towards a brighter future.
Objectives:

1. To provide opportunities to talented but financially disadvantaged students and empower them to acquire a high quality education at a partner institutions /university.
2. To provide opportunities for qualified students especially from remote and rural areas of Pakistan (FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Southern Punjab, Balochistan, and Northern Sindh), to continue their studies in selected partner universities of the country.

State Bank of Pakistan Merit Scholarships for Graduate Students

State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation offers financial assistance by way of Merit Scholarship to the talented and meritorious children of its serving/retired/deceased employees (OG-2 and Below) to pursue their studies at Intermediate, Graduate and Post Graduate levels. Merit Scholarships for the 2016-2017 are now open and Applications on the prescribed Form are invited from the Employees (serving/retired) and spouse/children of deceased employees of SBP BSC(Bank) for grant of "Merit Scholarships" to their children.

USAID-funded Merit and Needs-Based Graduate Scholarship Program

The Higher Education Commission in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) offers scholarships for financially disadvantaged students to study agriculture and business administration programs since 2004. The program is consistent with the HEC’s goals to support financially deserving students, widen access to quality education, and encourage academic interest in fields that are vital to Pakistan’s economic development.

The Pak-USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship Program Phase-II is focused on providing opportunities for access to higher education, especially to under-privileged candidates who, despite possessing academic merit, are unable to finance their education. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation and living expenses.

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved the program at a total cost of Rs. 2,954.808 million in its meeting held on 6th September 2013. The Project is funded by Government of United States of America as Grant in Aid.

Phase-I of the program was initiated in 2004 at eleven (11) universities with 1807 scholarships. Of all recipients, 94% graduated on time.

To enable the academically qualified and financially needy Pakistani students to pursue higher education at select private and public universities of Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, medicine, business, social science, and engineering.

To enhance the institutional capacity of the Higher Education Commission of the Government of Pakistan and local public and private sector universities in designing and implementing MNBSP Phase II.

Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme

The Scheme was approved in June 2012 by the Government and was initially designed to reimburse tuition fees and on and off mandatory charges for the students of Balochistan, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan. In 2013, it has been made an integral part of Prime Minister's Youth Program. The scope of the Program has been increased since then and now 114 districts of Pakistan are eligible under the Scheme.

1. Actual Tuition Fee (of Masters , MS/MPhil and PhD programs)
2. On and Off Mandatory charges which includes Registration Fee/Enrollment Fee, Admission fee (For new admissions only), Examination Fee, Library charges(non-refundable), Laboratory charges, Research related academic activities only.
3. Non study related heads like transport fee, hostel fee, Sports fee, Endowment Fund, Equipment Fee, Health Fee or Any Refundable dues will not be paid.

OGDCL Need Based Scholarships for Masters Program through HEC

Higher Education Commission in partnership with Oil & Gas Development Company limited (OGDCL) offers scholarships for destitute students to study undergraduate and graduate courses in Engineering, Business administration, Law, Archaeology, Defense and Strategic studies, Gender studies, History, Sociology, Animal Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Electronics, Physics, Math, IT, and Pak Studies. The program is consistent with the HEC’s goals to support financially deserving students, widen access to quality education, and encourage academic interest in fields that are vital to Pakistan’s Economic Development. The program has specially been designed to benefit the students belonging from OGDCL’s operational/concessional districts List of Partner Universities/institutions

The OGDCL-HEC Need-Based Scholarship Program is focused on providing opportunities for access to higher education, especially to destitute candidates belonging to underprivileged background from operational & concessional areas of OGDCL who, despite possessing academic merit, are unable to finance their education. The scholarship covers tuition fee, lodging and boarding.
The OGDCL management has approved the program at a total cost of Rs.141 million in its meeting held on 21st December 2016. The Project is funded by Oil and Gas Development Company limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
In first year of the program, total number of students as beneficiaries are 130.

To enable the academically qualified and financially needy students of operational & concessional areas of OGDCL to pursue higher education at selected public sectors universities of Pakistan in the fields of Engineering, Business administration, Law, Archaeology, Defense and Strategic studies, Gender studies, History, Sociology, Animal Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Electronics, Physics, Math, IT, and Pak Studies. Offered discipline among proposed disciplines may vary in each semester as per OGDCL management decision.
