What is SAT?
SAT stands for Scholastic Aptitude test. SAT is a standardized test widely used for admissions in universities of United States and many other countries.

List of universities in Pakistan accepting SAT Scores:
Some of the Pakistani universities accepting SAT scores instead of their very own admission tests include NUST, FAST and IBA. For admission in LUMS, SAT scores are mandatory.

How to apply for SAT:
Registration process of SAT is very easy. Students need to visit CollegeBoard site and Click on Register for SAT and Create a new account by clicking on Sign Up button. Once your account is made, login with your credentials and Fill the Application form.

I can't find a seat in my desired test center.
If all of the seats are already filled for your desired test center, select the option "Let collegeboard find a seat for you". And CollegeBoard will automatically assign a seat in test center most suitable to you.

What is the difference between SAT-1 and SAT-2?
SAT 1 or commonly known as just "SAT" is a standardized test that is focussed on English and Basic Mathematics. Most of the universities require only SAT 1 for their admissions. SAT 2 is the old name of SAT Subject Tests. These tests measure the knowledge of a student in a particular subject like Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology. Some of the universities might also require its applicants to appear in SAT Subject Tests.

How SAT is related to LUMS?
If you want to take admission in LUMS, you are required to appear in SAT and send SAT scores to LUMS admission department apart from filling in the LUMS Online Admission Application Form.

Do I need to take SAT 1 or SAT 2/SAT Subject Tests or both for LUMS?
All of the applicants of LUMS are required to appear in SAT 1 with essay. However, those of the Pakistani applicants who are applying for LUMS School of Science and Engineering, have to appear in LUMS SSE Subject Test apart from SAT 1. And those of international applicants who are applyin for LUMS School of Science and Engineering have to appear in atleast 3 of the 4 SAT Subject Tests listed below.

• Mathematics II-C
• Physics

Do I need to take SAT with essay or without essay for LUMS?
If you are applying for LUMS, you are required to appear in SAT with essay.
